Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has commented on a statement made by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti about the Association of Serb majority municipalities.
He said the country he drives isn't that weak.
“Even today, when they threaten us with the formation of” “Greater Albania “and say there is nothing from the Serbian Communist Association, we're saying we're not as weak as we were. Serbia is not and will not be a handful of oatmeal for any white world crow wanting to eat it. I just ask them not to threaten us and not think Serbia is broken and I won't know how to respond. We've forgiven so much, but we'll never forget. We are ready to make the entire Balkans a solid” region, the head of the Serbian state concluded, Klen Kosova reports.
His statement came after that of Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who stressed that association cannot have one-ethnic character.
“Article 44 of the Kosovo Constitution guarantees freedom of association, but there is no need to negotiate something that we have guaranteed with the Constitution. We cannot have one-ethnic association, it cannot be the character of the municipal Association -- but not one-ethnic and says the Constitutional Court, declared on December 25th 2015. There could be association of the municipalities of Rugova Mountain, the mountains of Sharri”, he said on Monday in a discussion on dialogue organised by the Open Society Foundation.
Among other things, Vuciq has stated last night that they do not need mutual recognition with Kosovo.
“Today, when we hear the idea that Kosovo recognises us and that we know Kosovo. We don't need this recognition. You won't step on our past and future”.
