In the newly launched Department of Crimes in the case of Italian visa abuse suspects, the group in which Uke Rugova is the son of former Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova again failed after defence lawyer Besnik Berisha sought to go to another case. The next session was announced on March 30th at 13:15.
According to the indictment compiled by the Special Prosecutor, Uke Rugova was part of a group whose goal was material benefit, providing EU visa individuals Schengen from the Italian Embassy in Pristina, which were illegally taken or through corruption.
The chairman of the court, Fatmire Dermaku, said the court review begins recently. She said today the alleged parties will be legitimised again from the start.
The suspect's defender, Izet Beqiri, Besnik Berisha, asked the tribunal for consensus to be allowed to go another case since another judicial process is in the conclusion. And the court allowed the defense attorney to leave the hall.
Investigations into the case have been launched on November 19, 2013.
