“Taking into consideration the diplomatic circumstances in which Kosovo is located and the importance it has for us the US, and taking into account that Ambassador Vlora Citaku has completed his mandate in DC, Minister Melzaly Haradinaj-Subla, relying on legislation in power, has made a decision to send Ambassador Valdet Sadiku, to the quality of the acting dandir in Washington, not to leave the ambassador's position in the most important place for Kosovo<1>, the ministry is said to respond.
Sadiku, after receiving approval from the host country, is expected to travel towards the US soon.
Valdet Sadiku is a career diplomat, and besides his position as Director of the Department for Regional Affairs in the MPJD, in the past he has also served in Zagreb and Belgrade as head of the mission.
