The White House has restored the official portraits of former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, after they were removed last July during Trump administration, an official for CNN says
“Portrets are back on display”, the official said.
Photos were removed last July and replaced by two portraits of republican presidents who served more than a century ago.
The White House tradition calls for portraits of the latest American presidents to be placed more prominently at the entrance to the executive residence, visible to guests during official events.
However, the White House at the top with Trump moved the portraits of Clinton and Bush to the Old Family Evening Hall, a small room, rarely used and not seen by most visitors.
However, now that they have returned to their previous location, the photos are very likely to be seen by President Joe Biden as he descends the stairs from the private residence of the third floor.
The official portrait of former President Barack Obama has not been revealed, and it is unclear when or when he will be hanged.
