Xiang's Autonomous Region (Tibet) is expected to begin operating high-speed trains before one July, and this marks the functioning of high-speed train services in all provinces at the province level in the continental part of China, China's railway operator said on Saturday.

In a 435km railway line to Lhaa, the region's top centre, will circulate the “Foxing”, equipped with internal combustion engine and electric engine, with speed designed 160km per hour, said Lu Dongfu, president of China's National People's Group board, MP simultaneously.

In 2014 the construction work of this railway line began, connecting Lhasa with Nyingchi, in eastern Tibet. This is the first electric railway in Tibet and is scheduled to become operational in June 2021. The railing work ended at the end of last year.
