Tahiri Says March 14th Will Be Day of Return of LDK

LDK branch chairman in Vushtrri and Vushtrri chairman Xhafer Tahiri has spoken of the party's failure in the February 14th parliamentary elections.

He has counted some of the problems that have resulted in the loss of over 100,000 votes compared to the 2019 elections.

I was against the coalition with the PDK in 2014, and it was me and some others, but our voice was not heard. It was a time when they said coalitions with the PDK and then that coalition happened”, Tahiri said.

According to him, the LDK's next problem was the split with diaspora branches.

The coalition's destruction with Vetevendosje was wrong in the eyes of the electorate. But now we should not waste time on this part and the LDK should be determined for a new leadership and a return to hope, especially for young people”, he said at RTK.

Tahiri said Vjosa Osmani's expulsion from LDK is considered wrong and that he has voted against.

He has said he is still contacting Osman and that he has not lost his friendship with him, while wondering if Osman should return as LDK chairman, Tahiri has said she has already chosen her way.

Tahiri has also supported Osman's candidacy for president, saying this has been the will of citizens.

“has not been in the LDK tradition the exclusion of officials, the less a candidate for prime minister. All these mistakes have caused the LDK electorate to choose a list off the LDK list. I think that on March 14th when the LDK assembly is held, delegates will be designated for the return of the LDK. The most acute topic now is the return of the LDK, completely transforming the party leadership. There must be a substantial change”, Tahiri said.

Otherwise, the LDK on March 14th holds the assembly for the election of the new chairman following Isa Mustaf's resignation.
