Special hearing stopped, judge decides to pause

The pretrial hearing against former KLA leaders has been temporarily interrupted after Judge Nicolas Guillou has said they will pause for half an hour. A number of issues are being discussed at today's session. The defense of the accused has accused the prosecution of hastily rushing to start the trial against Thaci and others as soon as possible.

David Hooper, Thaci's lawyer, has asked the prosecution body for some materials that were presented to his client during the interview in July last year.

Furthermore, the defendants' lawyers have demanded that the prosecution give all audio and video recordings of witness interviews.

Thaci's attorney at the session has also mentioned NATO bombings to end Serbia's aggression on Kosovo.

The prosecution has said that in September it plans to hand over the preliminary file in this case, which has been rejected by lawyers.

Former US official Pierre- Richard Prosper, Hashim Thaci's lawyer, at today's pretrial hearing against former KLA leaders, has said that he could not meet with the former president of Kosovo since the indictment was filed against him, while voicing doubts about the Zoo.

Lawyers have had several more complaints about the investigations they are conducting.
