Alliance for the Future of Kosovo Chairmanship Teuta Haxhiu has commented on the resignation of Obilic Mayor Dzafer Gashi, who has resigned irrevocable from all functions within the AAK.

Haxhiu has declared that the Alliance's poor outcome in the February 14th elections should not disappoint him, as she says, the sovereign has decided.

Any member who assumes responsibility within a political subject should operate within the political subject. Any resignation to be alone must be argued. I consider that this result of the recent elections should not disappoint us because it has placed a majority citizen”, Haxhiu says.

Haxhiu has declined to comment on Gashi's resignation, which he has stressed he does not know the reasons.

“So I don't want to comment on the resignation and I don't have any information about what the reason is”, she tells Blic newspaper.

Xhafer Gashi, chairman of the Obilic municipality today, has resigned irrevocable from the AAK.

Gashi has written that the resignation results from developments within the party in this municipality.

“Jap irrevocable resignations from the AAK branch's chairman in Obilic and all my functions and responsibilities within the structure of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo at both the local and central level, while continuing my commitment as the head of the Obilic municipality<1>, Gashi wrote.
