The Democratic League of Kosovo has elected President Lumir Abdixhiku yesterday (14 March). The election of the new chairman came after this party's extremely poor outcome in recent elections and the worst result in its entire history.
Abdixhiku, who was elected mayor, received numerous congratulations from politicians, mayors and analysts.
The known three (former-party) have wished Mr. Abdixhiku at a very synchronized time, and this leads to questions about whether they will join Obadiah in the LDK.
Such speculation has long since been speculated, even when Obadiah's name had been coveted for possible LDK chairman, while whether it really will happen, remains to be seen.
Congratulations on taking them as the new leader of the old party, LDK, Mr. Obadiah thanked some of them yesterday.
Allow me to thank all the local and international politicians for the congratulations today. Thank the Prime Minister on duty, Mr. President. Hoti, U.d. Mrs. President. Osman, Chairman of the Vetevendosje Movement! Mr. Kurti? Mr. AAK's chairman. Haradinaj; capital chairman Mr. Ahmeti? Democratic Party Chairman in Albania Mr. Lulzim Basha of former Albanian president Mr. Sali Berisha, our friends in the European People's Party and all colleagues, collaborators and other representatives of the diplomatic choir”, Abdjiku wrote yesterday. /Periscopi/
