Kosovo Economic Ode Chairman (OEK) Berat Rukiqi has said that no visa removal has become an insurmountable obstacle for citizens and businesses.
Rukiqi then said that many contracts are being jeopardised, which, according to him, for many companies also mean loss of much circulation.
“We are being twice discriminated against, in one we don't have a visa regime, and so we have to have visas and now for more because of the pandemic we're actually stuck hostage, so many contracts have been compromised or they'd better tell me especially the share of producers and the rest of the businesses that have communication with other markets are risking a good part of business and in many cases for many of our companies that means losing a good portion of the 48x1>, he said in an interview for Online Economics.
He said companies have sought support from the Economic Oda to be equipped with visas, especially now in the pandemic.
“As a result of a continuing demand of businesses to facilitate visa equipment, especially now at this time of pandemic, where most of their embassies or offices on consular issues are not working at all for almost a year and for those businesses and companies' experts and even companies' workers and even companies who have had visas have become impossible because most of the visas are short and have expired and are unable to go to other countries, for example, if someone buys a device and too much is linked to testing those products, with training for the use of different equipment, and all these are due to visa shortages, Rukciphery has said.
The first of the OEK has also spoken about the damage it can bring about lack of visa ownership for businesses.
“These are not calculations because they are direct and indirect damage and can't discuss numbers, if a contract to buy a device that could produce much more, can't be accomplished because of the lack of a visa then the damage is amounted to multiple, so a company may have to pay for something more expensive, it would also be delayed to reduce the capacity for exports, and these are the types of damages”.
Kosovo remains the only country in the region that citizens find impossible to move without visas in the Schengen area.
