Ridvan Berisha does not draw his doubts about Albin Kurti. The editor-in-chief of the third Kosovo Radio Television channel (RTK) has spread his scepticism towards Kosovo's new prime minister, even in Tuesday's edition of the “show. DEBAT”
Tuesday's evening show, focused on Kurt's second arrival at the helm of the government, Berisha has titled: “Qur'an 2, hopeful power or waiting for double?!”
The title, which refers to the rhetoric of the Vetevendosje Movement leader to be held in charge of former regimes that are suspected of abuses and suspicious appointments in political positions, according to Berisha, may not like his superiors in the public broadcaster.
But he said the editorial line of his show doesn't change with Kurt's arrival in power. He has said he has autonomy on his show, even if his actions would mean the possible dismissal from the functions he exercises on public television.
My superiors may not like you, who may even react. Maybe my superiors might be a little embarrassed... but, hello! I have autonomy in this studio, even if tomorrow after tomorrow I may not be at this studio”, Berisha said, as in two moments he struck the table set out in the show studio, indicating determination with his assessments of the Kurti 2 government.
Ridvan Berisha, from the Vetevendosje Movement, has been labeled a journalist close to past powers.
In 2016, Vetevendosje had published a photo in which the editor - in - law of RTK 3 was seen in the company of Deputy Director of the Anti-Terrorism Unit Luan Keka, who had conducted investigations into Vetevendosje activists in the event of the Kosovo Assembly attack in 2016.
Thus, Vetevendosje sought to prove ties to Berisha and Keka with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). These actions of Kurti's LVV, Berisha had named “publicly” against him.
