M US: We have not rejected symbolic aid in vaccinating doctors in Albania

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kosovo has stated that they have not accepted official paperwork for vaccinating Kosovo health personnel in Albania and that the list of medical personnel volunteering to be vaccinated in Albania has yet to be admitted by the USSCUK and the IKSHPK. The MSH's response sent thegraphies reportedly [...]

The MSH's response sent the Telegraph reportedly did not refuse this assistance from Albania, but in focus is the vaccine to start as soon as possible in Kosovo.

“MS has not rejected this symbolic assistance, but it is understandable that the focus is for the inoculation to begin as soon as possible in Kosovo. So far, the MS has not received any list of health personnel declared to go for inoculation organised in Albania”, the MSH response reported.

From the MSH say there was no communication with paperwork, except for contacts among ministers, and that the Albanian Government's gesture has been welcomed by the Ministry of Health.

Until now, the official letter for vaculation of Kosovo health personnel in Albania has not been made, except for phone contacts between ministers and the fact that the MS has welcomed this gesture of the Government of the Republic of Albania”, the MSH's response to Telegrafi said.

The Health Ministry has also indicated that it has requested from the Kosovo Clinical and University Hospital Service that, in co-operation with the National Public Health Institute, compile the list of personnel that want to be vaccinated in Albania, but that such a list has yet to be accepted.

“MSKKUK has asked that in co-operation with the IKSHPK prepare the list of health personnel wishing to be vaccinated in Albania voluntarily, a symbolic number has been offered by Albania. So it depends also on the will of the health person, since the vaccine has preventative effects, but legally not mandatory, at least by now”, they say from the MSH.

Kosovo's Ambassador to Albania, Nat Hasani and the president of the Federation of Kosovo Health Unions, Blerim Syla, have also been declared during the day for Telegraph on this topic.

Hasani said they are awaiting the response from the Kosovo Health Ministry for the list of doctors who have been on the front line with the COVID-19 pandemic, who have been invited to be vaccinated in Kukes.

He said in a statement on Telegrafia that the vaccine should be done in an organised way, which he said should have a list of health workers, but have not received answers from the Kosovo Ministry of Health.

At the same time, Syla in a proposal for Telegrafi has said he is willing to go himself and organise this vaccine, meanwhile, said that if nothing is taken by 12:00, then he will contact the Ministry of Health in Albania himself.

Syla stated that two Kosovo doctors who went to vaccinate in Kukes today were not allowed to vaccinate. They have returned after they were told there they are waiting for the list of doctors who are at the front line in the struggle with the coronvius, which should be sent to them by the Ministry of Health of Kosovo.
