During his speech at the Regional Council of Poulias, where Italian Foreign Minister Louis Di Maio is present and the head of Poulias region, Michele Emiliano, Rama considered Italy to be Albania's guardian angel. Rama from there stressed that there have been many changes in Albania's goods over 30 years.
The prime minister received the appreciative “root of Poulias” award, which is given only to the Puritans, but that Poulias' leader stressed that Rama is a political of Albanian citizenship.
I don't know if I deserve all this. It's a tradition that when you get a price you have to talk. I want to thank everyone in the hall. It's amazing to think that those people are us, Albanians, it looks like stories that happened thousands of years ago, but in 30 years, many things have changed, changes in Albania have been incredible, but what makes all of them incredible is change for Albanians who arrived on that ship and today are part of that society, there are about half a million and 50 thousand who have a large or medium-sized enterprise. They've been seen by no one for many years as suspicious people. I remember Italy was a dream to us. I had a Catholic grandmother telling me Albanian is the language of your ancestors, and Italian is the language of blue. Italy has been Albania's guardian angel since it comes to talking about Albanians or when it comes to protecting Albania. We were very happy to go to Grandma's to see not only the sea but also Rain. We went to watch TV, but it was like watching movies. Then there happened this confrontational situation with Italy's reality and certainly it wasn't what we had seen on Ray's screen, much less on the Mediaset screen because it was a reality. We were viewed as suspicious. It was a peak and destination for many others. There were thousands of desperate people who looked like aliens. Even the moment of the earthquake was a moment of protection from Italy”, Rama said.
