The first of this union, Jusuf Azemi in an interview for EO, said that raising the minimum wage to 350 euros would be a primary requirement for the government, Kurti.
Besides the minimum wage, Azemi has mentioned some of the other problems private sector workers have faced. He has said how the first problem is not implementing the Labour Law as well as signing the collective contract.
“We hope that this government will work with more commitment to private sector workers, because we have said even before it was done for Kosovo private sector workers, we expect and as the first requirement it will be as of 1 May to raise the minimum wage at 350 euros and it was a primary requirement that workers enjoy a pay raise on 1 May. Along with it, the previous contract signing that governments have not been faced with and have not dealt with these problems, and as the primary problem is that implementation of the labour Law, signing the collective contract with which it needs to be made changes, but also with what we're looking for a very fast way to start implementing them, as better conditions would be created for Kosovo private sector workers, and we will insist that the labour inspectors do their work with vitality because in the past, we hope that the worker will have the position that gives him the position of collective work, he said.
Since 2011 is no increase in minimum wage, he says any growth that is below 350 euros, according to Azem is a salary that is not worth discussing.
To raise the salary to 350 euros is being called from now the prime minister's statement, which in 52 days last year, has been declared on our own that the minimum wage of the private sector worker should be 350 euros, because every salary under the 350 euros salary is a salary for which it is nothing worth changing because we are damaged since 2011 no change in this salary has been made, and I hope it will be in the company's interest and in the company's interest, but also in the state's interest, and every time we will offer the new government's co-operation to the new<>, Azem was expressed.
The minimum wage must be 350 euros to cover the basics of survival for a three-member family of”, he said.
Your hunger has said it will be loud and critical even of the government Kurti if private sector workers are not treated properly.
And we're not even going to be more loud or slower, for us all governments have been our governments and we've reached agreement, we've been cooperative, we're going to be even now because it's not important whether Avdullah Hoti or Albin Kurti, we have our visions and we don't connect on names. We want and have a will to cooperate with the problems we have, we have hope that something needs to be changed, and we will use all of the union routes that by talks we solve problems, but if not normal that we are inclined for protests and strikes from our past”, Azemi said.
