He was appointed prime minister in July, following his predecessor's sudden death, Amadoi Gon Coulibaly, writes BBC, translates Periscopi.
President Alsane Outtara described Mr. Bakayoko as a great statesman “, an example for young people and a man with exemplary loyalty”.
Mr. Bakayoko flew to France in February on medical tests and later moved to Germany when the situation deteriorated. /Periscope
