Samir Fyziu, whose mother is lying in the Pulmology Clinic, tells Radio Free Europe that despite the fact that this clinic has the right medication, they are being forced to buy the missing drugs.

“I got my mother here, it's post - CO VID. With COVIED-19, I have had my father and my mother, and it has cost us much. First of six infusions, some have had them, but most have not had them, have had to be bought”, Feyziu relates.
At the Pulmology Clinic at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo, about 25 patients affected by COVID-19, which causes the new coronary.

Rifat Aliu, from the village of Qylagha in the Lipjan municipality, says that I do not know what medications this clinic offers, but as he puts it, there are constantly requests from health personnel to buy medicine.

I'm not a professional to know the names of drugs, but we're buying most of them ourselves. I don't know what's in here, except for these infusions they give him, other drugs don't know what's got”, he says.

Pulmology Clinic Director Musa Hoxha told Free Europe Radio that over the weekend, there has been a shortage of some drugs, including vitamin C.

That means, only vitamin C ampula doesn't. Cproflixacin (antibiotic used for a series of bacterial infections) until Friday there was no such thing. He came Friday, but his replacement was”, Hoxha said.

Meanwhile, Kosovo University Clinical Hospital Service Director Valbon Krasniqi explained to Radio Free Europe that many drugs used against Coronobrus are available to hospitals.

“ - CO VID, except for those drugs I've already stated, others are. There's never been any delivery from any company. So they didn't bring offers. Meanwhile, in the form of vitamins ampulses, those who are placed in injections are available”, Krasniqi said.

And the anti-virus drugs are also. Remdesiviviri has not been managed to secure itself by the Ministry of Health. We have the other ones. Cproflixakin we've got a small donation, until the contract is established, since you know it's in the O review organ. The EPS (Procure Monitoring Officer) because of company complaints about these procedures. Meanwhile, other drugs are available”, he added.

As far as regional hospitals are concerned, Prizren's “Prim. Dr. Daut Mustafa”, according to SKKKUK's leaders, is the most charged with coronary patients.

Information officer at this hospital, Chiefjet Berisha, has neither denied nor claimed there is a shortage of drugs for treating the sick with COVID-19.

We, as a hospital, make constant demands on demands coming from the head of the units for medicine and services and those requests, we permanently follow them to the SHSKUK. Then it is up to companies making supplies through USKKUK's central drugstores”, Berisha said.

Kosovo continues to be the only country in the region still, which has failed to provide any kind of anti-commercial vaccine.

AstraZenecya and Oxford vaccine, Kosovo is expected to receive it for free through the World Health Organization programme, COVAX, which aims to distribute vaccines to poor countries.
