Parents' Council Chairman Ymret Resiti has said they have expressed their objections to an early school break, but that they were overlooked by the Ministry of Education.
He said the Ministry of Education's latest proposal that all educational institutions across the country go a week off because of the COVID-19 situation is at the expense of students, Kosovo reports.
“We are against an early break because basic skee and reason for making this decision that the Ministry of Education and Health has made. It's unstable. In that decision there are restrictions on business and other institutions that are working. Why just education? It is a pity that the bypassing of the voice of the Council of Parents as a legal category is being violated just by the minister of education. I The KSHPK can be representative of our voice. We contest”.
Resiti in Info Magazine said that students and schools are the source of the spread of infection until she found that they even sought out the numbers of infected students.
In a democratic system, the voice of the Council should be heard because how the mechanism we're founded on. The Minister well knows what a legal category we are. This is in extremes against law”.
He said that they have also remembered the protest, but that they have escaped with that decision in order not to burden the state of pandemic in the country.
Resiti says he hopes such proposals are not political games until he said the Government and Ministry “are in crisis and that they know how to act”.
