Shala in an interview for Kosova Press says that in two other schools, at lower elementary school “Xhemail Mustafa” and in that of music “Prenk Japan” The lesson is being held combined, where a cycle holds online teaching while the next cycle continues in school banks.
We have eight schools now that are completely closed, while two are in several cycles. The Jémail Mustafa~ school, cycle 6-9 has been closed due to positive cases of teaching and students, while the School of Music is closed, class from first to 9th, and now only high school students are going to school. However, eight others are completely closed because of positive cases of teachers and students”, Shala said.
The number of teachers and students infected until Monday alone has gone to 301, but Shala says this number increases every day, as cases of COVID-19 have increased.
Until Monday we have 301 students and teachers who are in schools, but, day numbers are just growing. We take statistics on a weekly basis, because we may have healed but also infected at the same time”, Shala said.
The rise in the number of people infected with the COVIID-19 virus in schools has led the online learning period to be short, but the education director in the Pristina municipality says closed schools managed to adjust teaching times so that students do not lose their learning.
It's been a very short time of organization, because it takes a whole other organization, it takes new time for students, because while they're students in class, we work with two groups, but when they go online, the class goes through classes and hours becomes 45 minutes, like regular school classes. Time has come from most schools... Schools have adapted to parents' schedules, with the advice of parents inside the school so that students will lose as little as possible, although the effect of online learning is not like the effect of teaching that students do on physical school objects”, Shala said.
It shows that so far, they have not received any complaints that because of equipment or cyberlocking, students cannot attend the '%online teaching.
The primary and secondary schools that have been closed to online learning in the Pristina municipality are: “Meto Bajraktari”, Philip Shiroka”, “Gjin Gazuli”, “Frameary”, Jevdet Doda”, <xZenel Hajdini” and <x10smail Kemal”. While lower elementary school “Xhemail Mustafa” and the music school “Prenk Ja Jamesa” are continuing physical learning with only one cycle.
