The five agriculture ministry officials who were arrested for various corrupt acts, including abuse of official office and bribery taking were suspended.
This has been disclosed by means of a communique for the media by this minister, while it was said that this was done at the request of the secretary, Faton Peci.
The decision to suspend the job will be in effect until another decision.

At the request of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Faton Peci, for establishing legitimacy and order within the institution, the decision has been made to suspend provisional from the working relationship in Kosovo's civil service to five officials of the Agriculture Development Agency.
This decision has been taken as a must for implementing the legal base in force, as well as the announcement received by the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption on March 03th 2021, for measures taken against these officials, who are suspected of criminal acts “taking bribes” and “misusing official duty”.
The decision to suspend the labour relationship will be in effect until a decision is made by responsible bodies.
The suspended officials were arrested during February under suspicion of criminal acts “taking bribes” and “misusing official task”.
