Penjan has been barred from testing ballistic missiles, considered a threatening weapon, according to UN Security Council resolutions.
Like Japan and South Korea, they have condemned the exercise.
This comes just days after North Korea reportedly dropped two non-balistic missiles on the Yellow Sea.
Japan said that no waste had fallen within its territorial waters.
U.S. Pacific Command. A., which oversees military forces in the Asia-Peacekeeping region, said on Thursday that the test stressed “the threat that the North Korean illegal weapons programme presents to its neighbours and the international community”.
Thursday's test also comes days after the US. He took the first Korean-vector, Mun Chol Myung, who was extradited from Malaysia, reports the BBC.
Mun is a businessman accused of money laundering through the US financial system to secure luxury items in North Korea.
The incident angered North Korea so much that it cut diplomatic ties with Malaysia.
