Minister of Economy and Environment (MEA), Muharrem Nitaj, has announced through an official letter that he has decided to suspend the selection of Kosovo Chief Executive Chief of Staff “” with the reason that the Law for Public Enterprises was not respected.
In the media communiqué from MEA, it is said that “in the quality of the Ministry of Economy and Environment, which is a shareholder in the Kosovo Post Company, and with the recommendation of the Public Enterprise Policy and Monitoring Unit, I have requested the suspension of the selection of Kosovo Executive Chief of Chief of Kosovo '%s'”.
Among the main reasons for the suspension requirement has been the fact that Article 15.1 of the Public Enterprises Law was not respected, which is said to have all members of the Board of Public Enterprises Directors, the yoke in a three-year term, while the Board has made a decision to have the executive chief chief, who is also a member of the Board of Directors, elected in a five-year term.
The other reason is that the government in office is at the end of its mandate, and it is only reasonable that the new government will proceed with the new appointments of public enterprise managers.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy and Environment, months ago, has been constantly seeking out temporary boards, so as not to proceed with recruiting and selecting senior officials in public enterprises.
