I opened an account on Twitter,” said in the first message on Twitter, which now has more than 190 million users and is especially popular with politicians, experts in various fields and journalists.
San Francisco-based Twitter has become a leading social media player in 15 years of existence, but with controversy as well.
The social network surprised its users in January by canceling the account of former US President Donald Trump, who was the main means of communication.
Trump's account was followed by some 88 million people, and his site was canceled due to repeated inciting violence even after the riots of his supporters at Capitol Hill.
The exception was welcomed, but there were sentences, and this is a sign of the complex balance between neutrality, protection of freedom of expression and the modemmation that Twitter faces.
In early March, Dorsey offered to sell the first message on Twitter via page “Valtables”.
Buying a message means getting a unique “digital cancer in what the author signed and verified it”, says the shopping page and adds that it is like selling an autograph. About 2.5 million dollars were offered for that message today.
