The small island has so far recorded fewer than 30 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, while it has seen no life loss in weeks and the infection figures are at minimum.
Currently, Iceland's inhabitants live every day as if the 19 never existed. Students regularly attend schools, bars and restaurants are completely open, and no one feels stress when they enter, while tourists find peace as they visit this magnificent place.
The successful testing and vaccine programme, the transparent government and disciplined citizens, are the link of managing the situation early in the pandemic. Currently, the country has also marked economic recovery, which has resulted in tranquillity in everyday life.
However, the main factor in the success of the island's living in complete normality was evidently isolation. This island state is geographically isolated and has a population of about 350,000.

People really began to believe the advice of experts and scientists, changing their behavior. But not only locals but tourists have shown exemplary behavior since last June, when the island lifted its isolation.
Iceland has so far vaccinated some 13 thousand inhabitants, and some 34 thousand have received at least one dose, while another 21 thousand are expected to undergo the vaccine process.
Despite the almost completely normal situation, authorities are considering imposing the equipment with the vaccine passport for anyone to enter Iceland in the future.
However, the pandemic and its concern seem to have left natural phenomena in line, as is the next 900 years of the largest volcano on the island.
