“I believe that all this public opinion and media attention shows that the LDK chairmanial elections are of great importance, we have a subject that is the oldest in Kosovo, a subject that has the longest democratic tradition in the Balkans”.
“Final declaration of all candidacys is done in recent works, and each receives the blessing of candidacy. All candidacys so far declared are figures that have strong points and are flawed, but all of them make serious figures to represent LDK at”
Murtezaj in Klan Kosova has declared that any person who becomes LDK chairman should not be of the populist spirit, which, according to him, is problematic even in developed countries of the world other than Kosovo.
“We are entering a populist climate of Government within Kosovo. The LDK, whether it's a participant in forming institutions, or as political opposition to making, should be clear not to be populist. The LDK leader must be the person who offers himself to join all those who believe in the values of the LDK, these are not minority values are the key value for the existence not only of the LDK, but also of Kosovo”.
Any serious politician should work to reduce populism in his approach to politics. If popularity becomes problematic for strong European democracies, it is also in Kosovo. Any person who comes to the helm of LDK should have communication with all party levels, because the LDK should be what it belongs to, should be Kosovo's first party, Kosovo is more democratic when the LDK is stronger”.
Murtezaj has stressed that there is no interference in the LDK president's voting system, as the votes are classified according to him.
He has confirmed that anyone elected LDK chairman faces major challenges to work.
“The LDK after the elections has dropped in number of votes, the first task is to mobilise all party spheres. There are big challenges that require much communication, these require a lot of human capacity on the part of the new LDK leader, I have great hope that things for LDK will be good”, Murtezaj said.
