Lajcak in his letter has stressed that he is willing to continue dialogue without delay, until he says he will support Kosovo and Serbia on the road to a comprehensive agreement.

Dear Prime Minister,

I want to congratulate you on your appointment as Kosovo Prime Minister and I wish you many successes in this new post. I am convinced that your leadership and long political experience will add value to institutions in Kosovo. In my quality as the European Union's Special Representative for Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other regional issues of the Western Balkans, I hope we will work together towards an inclusive, legally binding agreement on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia”, the Lajcak letter says.

“I firmly pledge that I will support both sides to continue without delay meeting under Dialogue with Belgrade, facilitated by the EU”, the Slovak emissary emphasises in letter.

In the end, Lajcak says he is eager to meet Kurt in Brussels, until he says the meeting will be realised once conditions are created.

The ongoing dialogue will enable us to make progress that will benefit both sides in the years to come. I look forward to meeting you in Brussels, as soon as the situation allows us, and we personally discuss our joint work ahead. With respect”
