Kurti is convicted of criminal offence, Gashi shows if LDK will lead him to Constitutional

LDKI Parliamentary Group chief Arben Gashi has spoken of the new government led by Albin Kurti. He says the LDK will be constructive opposition, but has remembered that the government's first one is convicted of criminal acts. “z. Kurt is a person with a criminal precedent. So he's a convicted criminal, [...]

“z. Kurt is a person with a criminal precedent. So he is a person convicted of criminal offence, for the violence activity that has caused him in the Kosovo Assembly and outside the Kosovo Assembly. That's a fact. It is also a fact that the Parliament of Kosovo and the previous government have fallen because an MP has been convicted of criminal acts. So we have two different models. The Parliament and the government have fallen after an MP who has voted for the government has been convicted of criminal acts, while today the first government to be the one to sit there on the government's decision. It's a nosenslogic”, Gashi told RTV Dukagini.

His criminal actions have not yet finished”, Gashi stressed.

But Gashi says the LDK will not submit this case to the Constitutional Court.

We have decided not to send the case to the Constitutional Court because we have decided to respect the will of Kosovo citizens. Kosovo citizens when they voted and knew it was a criminal offense. If someone else takes him to the Constitutional Court is their case, if the Constitutional Court decides that he may still be prime minister, we will respect him but we are here to make a powerful opposition, an opposition that will prevent any danger for Kosovo and normally congratulate him of any good they do”, he stressed.
