Exporting Kosovo products during the first three months of this year has marked growth of 45% compared to the same period in 2020. These have been announced in an interview by Kosovo Customs spokesman Adriatic Stavilevci.
He has clarified that since 87m euros were exported last year, the value this year has reached 126m euros.
Stavileci said last year the export of Kosovo products has reached 450m euros, while until the end of this year, 600m euros are expected to be exported products.
“Develops the main developments we have at the beginning of this year is export growth and we have seen a very significant increase in terms of export of Kosovo goods and products to various countries. If viewed in statistical value if last year we are behind for January, February and March about 87m euros, this year we have 126m euros of exported goods, which go to various countries, so the increase is about 45% more than last year”.
“ ... considering that last year has been among the years it has held a record for exporting Kosovo products over 450m euros, this year if it continues this trend if within three months we have about 130m euros of exports we expect by the end of the year to have about 600m euros that will be a new record of Kosovo producers”
And the countries in which Kosovo products Stavileci are mostly exported said to be the European Union, as well as the United States of America, not excluding the countries of the region, reports EO.
The “The countries mainly are those of the European Union, as well as the United States of America, but normally we also export to countries in the region such as Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro and Serbia, and the growth is very large, which is marked by the increased production capacities of Kosovo”.
He has also cited a customs action at the Jarinje border point, adding that Kosovo Customs intends by the end of this year to exceed the figure of 1 billion and 100m euros collected for the country's budget.
“Dogana has shares at various points in the country all the time, and the last action we've got has been at the Jarinje border point where we've managed to catch an amount of athletes who are forged of known global subsides”.
If the trend of current customs revenues is looked at is quite well performing and we are about 5% more than last year and I believe that by the end of last year we will spend over 1 billion and 100m euros collected for the Kosovo budget”.
