A total of 12 deputies who received executive positions at Kurti 2 Government have lost their mandates in the Assembly. The same is expected to be replaced by the next candidates to sit in the legislature's seats. Of them, nine are from the Vetevendosje Movement and three from the community, not the majority. Meanwhile, this afternoon, President Glauk Konjufca's task officer has submitted his request to the CEC for their replacement.
CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi says they are expected tomorrow to gather to make the recommendation of the next candidates for replacement in the Assembly.
“The CEC has accepted the request on the part of the Kosovo president's task to make the recommendation of the rotating candidates to replace up until now MPs, who have taken office in the country's executive. We believe that during tomorrow's CEC day, it will be collected to make relevant recommendations for each of these key candidates”, he said.
The loss of 12 deputies also confirms Eugen Cakoli from the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), which says they have just received duties at the Kurti 2 government, they have automatically suspended their mandates in the Assembly.
After voting the government during yesterday, 12 deputies have lost their mandate because with the Constitution it is determined that if an MP receives a ministerial post, he receives the mandate ... there are 12 deputies, of whom 3 are of the communities' subjects, one from the Egyptian, Bosnian, Turkish community, respectively. The rest are from the Vetevendosje Movement list, which will replace candidates in question”, he said.
According to him, one of the MPs expected to be replaced is from the Vjosa List, so there will be again the possibility of forming the parliamentary group by the same.
The “One of the candidates to be replaced is from the Vjosa List. That would lose two deputies, but will win a new MP, still keeping on the threshold of six deputies needed for the parliamentary group if there will eventually be political will for such a thing”, he said.
MPs who have lost mandates as a result of receiving executive duties are: Donika Grovalla-Schwarz, Arben Vitita, Iron Murati, Faton Peci, Libun Aliu, Arberie Nagavci, Hajrula Ceku, Roseta Hajdari, Jjelal Svecla, Fikrim Damka, Elbert Krasnqi and Emilja Rexhepi.
While the same is expected to be replaced by the Vetevendosje Movement: Albanian Isufi, Enver Haliti, Mirsad Shkretta, Gramos Agusholi, Alban Bajrami, Ylza Hoti, Jahja Kokaj, Hyseni Hidaj. While from the Vjosa List is Gresa Bytyqi, from the non-party communities, Enis Kerwan from the Turkish Party, Fridon Lala from the Egyptian party, and Samra Ilijazi from the Bosnian party.
