Alek Minassian faced ten counts of first degree murder and 16 counts of attempts to kill in the 23 April attack, 2018.
His lawyers said Minassian did not know what he was doing because of autism disorders.
Minassian was acquitted and the lawyer said his client has not been prosecuted responsible.

Attack site in Toronto, April 23, 2018.
Minassian, 28, who admitted to the police that he drove the van, told authorities that he belonged to an online community of sexually frustrated men.
Eight women and two men, aged 22 to 94, died when Minassian crashed the van for passersby in a neighborhood north of Toronto.
Judge Anne Moloy said there is no doubt that his actions were planned and deliberate and that he was fully aware of what he was doing.
