The bridge, established by the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) in Hynoc, Kamenica, has been inaugurated following the collapse it suffered last month as a result of heavy rainfall. Its inauguration was regarded as a special day that will connect and bring its inhabitants close to it.
Kamenica municipality head Standers Kastrati expressing gratitude to the KSF, said their operations as always are making everyone proud.
“Today is a special day when we are opening this bridge built by KSF. We are very grateful to everyone in this process. This emergency operation to enable some of our citizens to move and communicate freely with the rest of the municipality is the only indicator of the need for bridges. Only connected and united we can. As always KSF operations make us proud, this time even more because we reacted to a natural disaster quickly to restore communication in villages, children, elders of sick people all indiscriminately”, he said.
Part of the inauguration of the driving bridge was incumbent Defence Minister Anton Quinn, who said her deployment reflects the values of humanity and solidarity of KSF soldiers.
“We are together today to successfully mark the completion of the project to place the driving bridge in the municipality of Kamenica. Bridges always connect and draw people together. In this event that we record today, apart from the task of serving the homeland, which our soldiers have every day are linking more and more with our citizens, telling each of them confidence. Despite any circumstances, KSF soldiers are always there. The floods caused material damage, but today we are reflecting the highest values opposed to this calamity. Values represent our soldiers, that of humanity and solidarity with our citizens”, he said.
While, KSF deputy commander General Enver Cikaqi said that in crisis situations, the KSF will always be located near citizens.
There is no doubt that in crisis situations, floods The KSF has a special role. In this case even in the recent flooding, not only here in Haynoc, since we have a large number of our activities that have been developed and offered help to our citizens, on the side of the country... we will be side by side with the local central civil authorities in order to carry and convey all of our professional” capacities, he said.
As a result of heavy rainfall, much of Kamenica villages and other cities were flooded last month.
