Italy aims to vaccinate at least 80% of its population against COVID-19 by the end of September, according to the new government.
The prime minister's office, Mario Draghi, defined on Saturday their goals of the national vaccination programme, writes Euronews, broadcasts the Kosovo Clan.
All of this comes amid slow criticism of EU vaccines among public ranks with vaccine companies, slow dose distribution and other logistical problems.
In Italy, less than two million people - approximately 3% of the population - were completely vaccinated against the virus.
Italy is also facing increased corruption cases, and from Monday, some of the country's regions will be classified as “red”zones.
That means the stores will be closed and the schools will be passed on to the instruction at a distance.
Infections have increased as 26 thousand new daily cases were reported over the past 24 hours.
Hospitals in the country are struggling with increased acceptance of intensive care for patients with COVID-19.
