Today it is marked March 8, International Women's Day, also known as Mother's Day.
This event begins on March 8, 1857, when New York's laundrymen protested their rights against the oppression and vicious exploitation of them and their children at work.
100 women from many European countries and the United States gathered in Copenhagen, Denmark, under Klara Cetkini, decided that March 8th would be marked as International Women's Day.
In honor of this day, mothers and wives are given various gifts, the most frequent gift being flower, which has a symbol of respect and love.
Kosovo has a woman's right guaranteed by law, where in many state institutions, female participation is defined by laws.
