The city's Deputy Director of Social Services Centre (CSSP), Ludmila Tomesova, said those who were placed at the hotel were offered three meals a day, full medical care, television equipment and other equipment while recovering.

She said the hotel in Prague has sheltered 250 people since November 2020.

The Czech Republic has been among the most hit countries in the world during the last wave of pandemic. Deaths from the virus have reached about 25,000 in the country with 10.7 million people.

Tomesova said Prague, which has about 4,500 homeless people, was trying to help people find shelter and access other services after they were tested negatively and exit hotels.

For some guests, attitude was a rare taste of luxury.

It's the first time in my life that I've been in a hotel like this”, Joseph Jrsa said, while recovering from Coved-19, Reuters reports.
