The Federation of Kosovo Health Unions has voiced concern over the physical violence that took place Monday during the team's home visit of the Emergency Medicine Centre, where it was physically assaulted by the family members of the I.S. nurses.
According to the announcement, after the family's call for home visits, the team of three health workers went and during the patient's examination while offering patient health services was physically assaulted by I.S.
Until the attack came just when the nurse asked not to be photographed and not to take video to the medical staff, but the patient's family started taking pictures and recording with videos, in those moments the attacker physically attacked the nurse in question. Police, who have been on the scene and have taken the case, have immediately been notified. The FSSHK invites law and law bodies to act in terms of legislation in effect that against the perpetrators of this ugly work be pronounced meritary sentence”, the announcement said.
The Federation of Kosovo Health Unions has strongly condemned the violence exercised against health workers, and has demanded from the highest state institutions to handle the case in question, given that such shameful cases have become frequent, which are seriously insulting the identity and image of health workers in the country.
