Saudi Arabia announced that this year, the vaccine against the new coronary (COVID-19) is the main condition for the pilgrimage.

The newspaper “Ukaz”, announced that Health Minister Tawfig Al-Rabiah, told ministry officials that those who wish to perform the pilgrimage are obliged to vaccinate against COVID-19 and that this is a condition to attend the pilgrimage, AA reports.

Minister Rabah also asked that early preparations be made for providing health workers who will be on duty at health centres in Mecca, Medina and the holy sites.

Also in the news, the minister has reportedly requested the establishment of a COVID-19 commission for the pilgrimages.
