Travelers will be required to run a COVID test before departure, regardless of the risk level of coronary in their country of origin.
The airlines will only receive passengers aboard with negative evidence of the COVID test.
Set-up rules were initially supposed to be adopted Friday. However, health officials said, they would push for Sunday to give travelers and airlines time to prepare. Travelers will have to pay their own test.
Previous regulations required tests only from travelers coming from high - risk areas. Now, travelers coming from popular holiday destinations with few cases, such as Majorka, will need a negative test.
The rule with the application for testing COVID-19t is expected to last until mid-May.
The airlines have said they will carry out hundreds of additional flights to cope with the demand increase.
