“But the security and data monitoring board “was concerned” that the data in AstraZeneca's public statement “was somewhat outdated and could actually be a little bit deceptive”, he added.
Meanwhile, as the media write, AstraZenza has said she will engage with the independent panel and share her main analysis with the most updated data with them.
The company said the data was based on an analysis until February 17th, adding that it had reviewed the preliminary assessment of primary analysis and found it in line with the intermediate report.
We will immediately engage with the independent board of data safety monitoring. We intend to extract the results of primary analysis within 48 hours”, the drug company was quoted as saying.
