Economic growth, creating new jobs on all private sector support for economic development will be a challenge for the new Kurti 2 government, which voted in the Assembly on 22 March.

The vaccine and lowering the spread of pandemic dealing with economic recovery, according to economic awareness, should be a priority in the first place with a commitment and commitment by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Economy expert Leke Musa emphasises for Kosova Prees, that the fundamental problem lies over that expectations are very large by citizens from the new government, and on the other hand, as the economic plan that has been presented by Albin Kurti's party will not be able to make a major breakthrough.

The dog problem I think citizens' expectations are outside usually large, and a part of us can say the reason for these expectations are constant criticism of the ruling party, and we can say the promises it has given them were extraordinary, and as such, citizens have an expectation that this new government in some form can say to do an extraordinary job, which in a situation which is Kosovo, is very difficult, because the needs are extraordinary”, Musa points out.

According to Musa, Kosovo has the highest unemployment rate compared to the countries in the region. Musa adds that to reduce unemployment and achieve a major effect in terms of raising prosperity, a government or a four-year term is not enough.

He stresses that to have economic growth, there must be a longer-term vision that will then be reflected in economic development.

We've heard a lot about an economic plan, but from the preliminary campaigns we can pretty much know what the promises were. These promises, if we can say, are grouped for anti-corruption measures, then it's about social policies, even a third of a commitment or a more active role of the public sector or government in the economy and all these measures as I said I don't expect will have the immediate effect on economic growth. However, these will have a positive effect on other matters of justice and equality in general. We expect the effects after several years”, he says.

So is other economic expert Safet Gerjaliu, who says Kosovo has a normal government under abnormal circumstances. According to him, the rapid change is impossible to happen without reforms.

The best thing to do is to have a stable government at the moment in Kosovo, because to have more than 50% of the vote and 58 deputies in the Kosovo Parliament is a guarantee of political stability, in the second order I believe we agree that expectations are too great from this government, and in this direction I believe that a short period of time change should not be expected, but the start of change itself because it is impossible to change without reform. In this regard, I believe this is the biggest challenge, and the second, I believe we agree that Kosovo has a normal government under abnormal circumstances, this abnormality makes the Padd 19 pandemic abnormally, the circumstances of problems inherited from the past, because they are problems that have accumulated in the last 20 years. When all of this is added to the fact that international diplomacy is too big for dialogue and the normalisation of reports provides an added weight to the challenges facing this government”, Gerjaiu points out.

The former head of the Kosovo Economic Ode, Gerjaliu, stresses that in the short term it is urgent to have a more pro-active approach in vaccination and reduction in the spread of pandemic.

It is true that in these last elections there is no post-exploration of programs in the form we've been taught in the past, but I want to believe that these challenges are known and that in this respect there is only a co-ordination of all these activities. We have to remember that the David 19 pandemic has changed the approach both politically and economically, and in this respect I believe that it is possible to do so a real seriousness in access to these problems, but the truth needs to be divided into short-term, urgent, medium- to-term. In the short term, it is urgent to have a more proactive approach with regard to the vaccine and lowering of pandemic tensions, the second has to do with the short and medium-term aspect and has to do with economic recovery, where Kosovo has stalled”, Gerxhaliu says.

While, in his exhibition, Prime Minister Albin Kurti on March 22nd, has stressed that in his rule, he will work for progress in the economy, reducing unemployment and increasing opportunities for all.
