These are the duties and responsibilities of the new LDK chairman

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) today will hold the General Assembly, where the chairman and other party bodies will be elected, after the last elections of February 14th, this party was ranked third in a row with 15 mandates won in the Kosovo Parliament, comprised of 120 deputies, who failed to score the LDK, prompted its chairman Isa Mustafa to resign from his position.

Meanwhile, so far for LDK chairman has declared running, its vice-chairman Lutfi Haziri, head member Lumir Abdixhiku, Anton Kuni- minister of office KSF and Bessian Mustafa ʹ the acting minister of agriculture, as well as the spokesperson for this party.

It is still not known whether there will be other candidates for today's race, but members of LDK leadership and branches have even mentioned the name of Kujtim Shala, but the latter has not been declared whether to be part of the race.

The LDK statue stipulates that candidacies for mayor take place in the work of the assembly. Article 25 of the statute envisions that “which candidacy must be approved by 50 percent plus 1 of the delegates present”. Taking into account the fact that the LDK assembly has 355 delegates, including the party chairman, each potential candidate needs 178 support votes to enter the candidate list for chairman, Telegraph broadcasts.

But if the assembly does not approve more than one candidacy, then the assembly decides on how to elect and vote for chairman.

The next LDK chairman, who is expected to be elected Sunday, will have duties and responsibilities that he is obliged to carry out during his mandate in leading this party.

According to LDK status, these are the tasks and responsibilities of its chairman:

The chairman represents the LDK in accordance with the statue and the LDK Programme, both locally and abroad;

He leads the work of the LDK and its organs;

He calls and heads the meetings of the LDK Parliament, the General Council and the Headship of the LDK;

Taking care of implementing the decisions of the Parliament;

Take decisions and political positions in accordance with the LDK Programme and Statistics;

He appoints the LDK spokesman;

He appoints leaders in the LDK administration;

) make choices for choices;

He organizes regular and extraordinary meetings with branch heads;

I could call the collection of every LDK organ or body.

As for his work, the chairman responds to the LDK Assembly. With a proposal of 1/3 of the members of the Parliament, the question of the mayor's vote of confidence could be raised. The vote for confidence can be raised by the mayor himself.

With the dismissal vote, in line with Article 21, the LDK chairman's mandate stops.

The chairman may resign before the mandate is expired.

In case of paragraph 2 and 3 of Article 27, the LDK Assembly should be called in the 60-day term.

Otherwise, the first chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) was Ibrahim Rugova, elected in October 1989 when this party was also founded. Later in December 2006, the chairman of this party was elected Fatmir Sejdiu, followed by Isa Mustafa, who received the LDK's first mandate in November 2010.
