The announcement of his resignation was made through a Facebook post. Among other things, his announcement implies that his resignation is due to internal clashes between him and Artan Grub.
Mexhidi says he will continue the MP's mandate, always being led by the policies and ideals of DUI leader Ali Ahmeti.
” Honored head of the Northern Macedonian Republic Assembly, Mr. Talat Xhaferi, allow me, as the co-ordinator of the Democratic Union for Integration parliamentary group, to express my sincere praise for your more than constructive role and engagement of your non-attack, which has always resulted in an efficiency in the work of the RMV's highest legal body and has brought added democratic values to the house of democracy. Otherwise, she, democracy, has always not only allowed but and promoted and initiated debate, and with this and another opinion, not only in society and the temple of democracy, the republican parliament, but even in the spas of a political subject. I, during these 20 years of active political life, have always proved that I am a supporter and advocate, with no qualms on myself, the two main principles of democracy: the voice of free thought and the force of the voice of most electorate. A different opinion is more than sound for a democratic society, while the force of the voice of the electoral majority is the chief determinant of democracy's concept and that at all levels. For this reason, in accordance with these creditable principles, by staying firmly behind personal positions, now more frequently expressed in opinion, that on the subject where I belong from the first days of its establishment, developments are taking place, which in no way can be in favour of the greater political force of the Albanians of the RMV and which is even more important, nor in favour of the incompatible leader of Albanians, Mr. Ali Ahmeti, as well as wanting not to create confusion even in some of my colleagues in the country, and on the other hand, with the initiative of giving my space to more punish the position I stand behind, I inform you that I withdraw from the position of co-ordinator of the DUI parliamentary group. I continue to remain the keeper of Prime Minister Ali Ahmeti's politics and ideals, as well as the voice of DUI voters, who in all election cycles has given the strongest gun in our hands to accomplish what we promised and have pledged to them. This has been and will remain my ideal, not my position and personal privileges. Respectfully, Izet Medget” wrote Medge in his official Facebook account.
This resignation precedes inner problems that are lasting for months. Medzit has repeatedly criticised Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi, calling for an account for the post that Grubi holds and for jobs he has not performed since being appointed as the second man of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
The problem was not exceeded by Ali Ahmeti's mediation after the marathon meeting that was held in Recica about a week ago.
Medjit had also recently warned of interference against Deputy Prime Minister Artan Grubi.
