The change of decision by the Government of Kosovo to subsidise energy production from renewable sources, within the Law on Economic Recovery, will affect consumer electricity bills as well.
With the preliminary decision, now abolished, the government had earmarked a total of about 16m euros that would be given to energy producers from renewable sources through COST. This meant that the amount these producers would benefit would be lowered to consumers.
The last decision made by the Government of Kosovo (r. The 0364 of February 12th, 2021, has halved the first amount to be shared by these producers from 16 million to 8 million. With half the budget for subsidisation of energy producers from renewable sources, the agreement signed by the parties will also be cut down on bills, which will end with the fate of March 2021 and will not apply for the following months.
K The ESCO announces consumers who confirm the precautionary agreement, consumers have already benefited from the discount on energy bills for the January-Fkurt period, meanwhile, for Mars, under the new decision and deal, the 3.802-euro-MWh discount will be implemented.
The amendment to the agreement signed between the implementation parties of the Law: The Ministry of Economy and Environment, Z RRE, COSTT and KASCO will be applied to March month's bills.
