Diplomat Kicmar: Kosovo will have consequences and priorities for which decision it makes for embassy in Jerusalem

“Options to find other solutions are small or existing. We're in a diplomatic sandwich. Any decision made will have consequences and priorities”, he said in “Debat Plus”.

Kicmari says Kosovo has unwittingly entered this uncomfortable situation.

He says EU countries will understand Kosovo's position much more easily in relation to Israel than Turkey or Arab countries.

Kosovo's diplomat says Kosovo, despite having never had mutual recognition with Israel, diplomatic contacts have never been missed.

Kicmari says host states set the embassy's location.

“On several occasions even the host state will assign the neighborhood where it is appropriate to place the” embassy, he said.

Kosovo's diplomat says it is expected that Turkey is not satisfied with this decision, and according to him does not deign reports with Turkey.

“Turkey has been very helpful in the recognition process and that Kosovo has growing economic reports with Turkey. Kosovo must preserve good reports with Turkey”.

Cicmar says despite reports with Turkey, Kosovo's reports with Israel are very important for some reasons.
