Three-quarters of those who died of COVID-19 had a virus in their hearts, according to recent research on heart tissue.
According to the U.S. scientific magazine Science.mag, victims had abnormal heart disease before they died.
The latest study offers a mirror on how sickness can harm the heart, and as certain treatments, it can help prevent a fatal outcome.
Scientists have gathered sufficient proof of heart injury in coronary patients and have shown that some patients had high levels of the trothon, a molecule released in blood when heart injury occurs.
Some received inflammation of the heart bag, and also had heart inflammation, however, it is not clear whether these problems were caused by the coronary virus that directly attacked the heart or all because of an extremely active immune response.
The study was conducted at Massachusetts General Hospital in about 1,000 pieces of heart tissue and was conducted in more than 20 samples from 41 patients.
Coronavius was reported to be present in 30 hearts of patients.
