COVID-19 in Albania, new cases drop significantly

The Ministry of Health reports that in the last 24 hours, 6 people have lost their lives from Coronavirus in Albania. The good news is that in the past 24 hours, new cases have been significantly reduced, although it should be stressed that fewer tests have been conducted than in the past few days. Out of 1893 tests have resulted positive 285 citizens.

Currently in the COVID hospitals in Tirana and three regional hospitals are treating 311 patients, 16 in intensive therapy, of which 7 patients are assembled.

The confirmed positive cases have been identified in these municipalities: 67 cases in Tirana, 21 in Fier, 19 in Korca, 18 in Shkodra, 17 in Elbasan, 14 in Vlora, out of 13 cases in Durres, Gjirokastra, 11 in Berat, out of 7 cases in Lezha, Lushnje, Saranda, out of 6 cases in Cavaj, Mirday, Pecin, out of 5 cases in Kurbin, Malakaster, Vau of Deja, etc.

Despite medical staff efforts, 6 citizens have lost their battle with COVID-19: 3 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Fier, 1 citizen from Saranda, aged 54- 83.

Since the outbreak of the coronary pandemic in Albania has confirmed 124,419 positive cases, of which 90,024 are healed, 32.179 are active, while the battle with dangerous disease has lost 2,216 people. /A2
