The Infectious Clinic now has many weeks of all of its beds filled with patients, who are in serious condition, and over 100 are able to breathe because of artificial oxygen. Given the domestic pandemic situation and active cases with COVID, more rigorous respect of current measures and the addition of other measures is being required.
Infective Clinic Director Izet Sadiku's duty to Kosovo Press has declared that the rise in cases in recent weeks of those infected with COVID-19 has also influenced the number of hospitalised people.
According to him, the condition of patients lying in this clinic is quite severe.
And we actually have every day that we have almost every day filled the capabilities of the Infectious Clinic in the last two weeks... it's creating the impression that there are no free countries but the Infective is the first clinic and we have three other clinics besides the Infectia that are for patients with COVID and so to this day no patients in need of service without service. We're making preparations to open other clinics in order to create enough beds for all patients... 06\26 actually the situation is very severe we have over 100 patients with oxygen therapy and a large portion of it is in severe clinical condition. This large number of new cases has also begun to reflect on the number of patients”, he said.
Sadiku also spoke to the epidemiological situation in the country, where he asked the Kosovo government for an analysis of this situation and stronger respect of the measures, but even if there is a need to increase new measures in order to prevent further spread of COVID-19 infection in our country.
If that is not the case, the infected Sadiku also warns of increased cases of coronavirus.
The “According to the IKSHPK recommendations should be followed more carefully, should be respected first by the measures and monitoring their respect because respect for the measures has declined. Then there may be another distribution to the IKSHP recommendation that this trend and the large number of cases that are to stop because the presentation of 13 thousand active cases is large because if one or two patients receive it from those who are active today, we can have 20-30 thousand cases for a very short time. Therefore, to give space to the vaccine, the government think that it would need to analyze the situation together with the Institute and take adequate measures first in respect to the measures that are and to be seen whether it needs additional measures or not”, the infected Sadiku wrote.
Sadiku says that in addition to an antiviral bar, unserving Remeser, the rest of the therapy for patients with COVID-19 is located in the clinic.
Of course, the large number of patients who are in need of difficult treatment also makes the state difficult, and then of course, the budget that is for COVID is getting heavier and heavier. As for antibiotics and other therapies, we have had an early absence. What has been missing so far is Remdesivivirivirive an antiviral bar that has not yet managed to secure the health ministry, while the other therapy in most cases has been bought by the state”, he said.
The Infectious Clinic has started vaccinating health professionals from yesterday. Among the first to receive this vaccine was infection, Izet Sadiku, who said there was no serious concern.
He even said that even his colleagues are not reluctant to be vaccinated.
Well, of course, if other vaccines are going to have muscle pain sometimes and nothing like other vaccines these are normal... we have to vaccinate as many people as possible, first of all, of course, medical staff, then even other citizens for the reason that only through vaccines we can get the pandemic under COVID-19...
Since yesterday in Kosovo, even officially has started vaccinating health professionals with 24 thousand AstraZeneca vaccines that reached our country on Sunday. The first to receive the dose of this vaccine were Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, O representative BSH in Kosovo, Isme Humolli, infectedlog, Sali Ahmeti and actor Selman Jusuf.
In recent weeks, Kosovo has noted increased contact with coronarys, only in the last 24 hours of positive COVID-19 have resulted in 752 people, while 14 Kosovo citizens have died.
