Billal Sheriff: Green's influence exceeds the limits of American citizen influence

Former head of the party GP Initiative, Bilal Sheriff, in a long writing published in his Facebook account, estimates Richard Green's influence has exceeded the boundaries of American citizen influence. Sheriff says Green Tweets don't dare to treat them like tweets of a common American “centiary”, as [...]
Sheriff says Green Tweets don't dare to treat them like tweets of a typical American “urban, since according to him, Green is more than half a million followers, among whom many are influential people.
Whoever believes that his tweets don't have any effect because he's no longer in power wrong seriously. Green is a politician with many contacts around the world. It is in our interest that they be exploited in the function of strengthening Kosovo's international subjectivity, rather than the opposite”, he writes away.
On the other hand, he says Albin Kurti and the carriers of our state institutions should be very careful in opening topics that could be turned against Kosovo independence.
His full response:
Richard Green's influence exceeds the boundaries of the influence of an ordinary American “citizen”!
Through two positions published on the social Twitter network, the former US special taskman for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia alarms for two positions of Vetevendosje, which has won the trust of Kosovo citizens in the February 14th elections to lead with Kosovo state institutions.
On the first tweet, dated March 3, 2021, which Richard Green points to. Jake Sullivan, the US president's National Security Adviser, claims that “Albin Kurti and his party believe Israel has been built committing crimes and claim that the US and the United Kingdom have supported this crime. These are very dangerous sayings by a US ally”.
In support of such claims, Richard Green has attached a copy of a piece of writing entitled “Determination for Palestine” of Boike Abaz, one of the most important figures of Vetevendosje Movement, in which it is clearly said: We are dealing with a crime against humanity, such as conquest, ethnic cleansing and colonisation of Palestinians by the Israelites. The state of Israel has risen over this crime with direct US military and economic support, the United Kingdom and all other Western states.
Give yourself the right to charge “The U.S., the United Kingdom and many other Western military forces” and simplify this issue by naming that “on one side is the conqueror that has available one of the most powerful military forces in the world”, that is, Israel, and the “on the other side is the conquered people of Palestine, who has tried to resist this invasion with all possible methods, in demonstrations, boycotts and armed resistance<5> is not only devoid of history, but extremely harmful to our national interests.
In the second tweet of March 4th, Richard Greenell seeks from US President Joe Biden and his administration to condemn Albin Kurti's statements concerning the national union, naming it as an attempt to undo Kosovo's citizenship.
As legitimate as it may be, opening as a matter of discussing the centuries-old aspirations of Albanians to live in a single state by the man expected to be Kosovo's prime minister is a major political responsibility, especially given the current political context of the force report within the framework of the most important international institutions.
It is without great political responsibility because for all it is known that the issue of recognising Kosovo as an independent state not only has stalled in recent years, but unfortunately we have had the withdrawal of recognitions even by states that had previously accepted the independence of our state.
To settle the issue of uniting Kosovo with Albania from the position of the incoming prime minister means to settle the issue of Kosovo's deregulation! And, without account for the diametrically contrary motives with the effort of Serbia and its allies, the presentation of such subjects in the current context coincides with the strategy aimed at devaluation of commitments to strengthen the subjectivity of our citizenship.
In the face of external and domestic efforts to undo Kosovo's citizenship, new recognitions from states that do not accept Kosovo's independence cannot be expected. On the contrary, this approach can discourage even our supporters, while the requirements for recognition that can eventually be made to nations that have not recognised independence lose their logical reason because it makes it absurd to recognise the independence of a state whose leaders are openly declared to be intent on losing the subjectivity of the state that leads him!
Finally, a few words about access to Richard Green's statements. Green Tweets don't dare to treat them like tweets of an ordinary American “, as a common number of public stage acts treat them!
All those who think Richard Green's Twitter publications are very wrong are limited to informing US National Security Councillor, Mr. Jake Sullivan. I can say with full conviction that they are completely wrong. Mr. Green has over half a million followers on the social network Twitter, among which many of them are influential people in political, diplomatic, media, economic and financial circles of various states of the world.
Anyone who believes his tweets don't have any effect because he's no longer in power, he's wrong. Green is a politician with many contacts around the world. It is in our interest that they be exploited in the function of strengthening Kosovo's international subjectivity, not the opposite. Those who do not take his influence seriously are either ignorant in politics or aim to damage Kosovo's international position. Therefore, such irresponsible statements must be given up because they can bring major consequences to the state of Kosovo.
Albin Kurti and the carriers of our state institutions should be very cautious in opening up topics that could be turned against Kosovo independence. Despite political positions, it is not in the interest of anyone who holds Kosovo institutions to continue in this manner of action, because the damage can be too great and irreparable for our country's future!
