Kosovo Customs spokesman Adriatic Stavileci has said that during the January-January 2021 period, there is a decline in imports from Serbia over 40m euros.
Stavileci has further clarified that compared to past years when imports from Serbia have reached a monthly amount of between 35m and 37m, this year for two months have been imported by 32m euros, twice and a half less.
“In terms of imports from Serbia we have expected to have an increase in Serbian products, if in the early years of reciprocity a month ago from Serbia it was 35 million to 37 million imports of goods, while for the moment we talk up to January-February we have about 32 million, an average of Serbia's imports is 16 million and we can say it's two and a half times less than the average of past <x1.
While the factors that have influenced the decline of imports according to Stavileci are the focus of consumers on products coming from the European Union, or even those from Albania.
Various factors, not excluding pandemics, have influenced reciprocity, but perhaps also the aspect that consumers are oriented on other products from the European union, have also influenced products coming from Albania”.
Stevilec also spoke of Customs' plans for 2021, where he said it was intended for revenues to reach up to 1 billion and 200 million, reports EO.
“Dogana is always in charge and continues to collect needed revenues for the Kosovo budget, and we expect this year to reach about 1 billion and 200 million”.
