The chairman of Kosovo's Economic Ode, Berat Rukiqi, has said that the sharing of financial means for supporting businesses damaged by pandemic under the Law on Recovery.
“Failure to implement the Law on Recovery is very disappointing. It is a provision of this law that 200 million would have to be direct financial support for businesses. This reflected neither in the budget nor in government decisions. So far, business benefits are minimal”.
Rukiqi called the transporter's protest fair, saying they are among the most injured by the pandemic and government support has been minimal in relation to the losses they have had.
He has also called on the emerging institutions to consider the possibility for the fiscal minister and pardon part of the fines pronounced for breaking the rules of pandemic.
Also, to have stimulating and tax measures for companies that have the potential to integrate into the global supply chain”.
Another concern for the Economic Ode was the establishment of the electricity price, saying it would harm businesses.
“1000 companies will be faced with an increase in the price of electricity, which will directly affect their cost, and that risks losing customers for those companies that export. These manufacturers can easily lose the market if costs increase when we face pandemics. Along with Oda, we've been addressing the deputies to address the regulator with a recommendation that allows the transition to the regulated market to be postponed for a year, since it is not favourable for this time”.
