Kosovo municipalities have already made all preparations for vaccinating the population against Coronavirus, it has confirmed in an interview for Online Economy, the director of the Kosovo Communist Association, Sazan Ibrahimi.
Ibrahim said also of the meeting the Council of Chiefs had with Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti.
He said the joint agreement has been not to have the austerity of the measures, but only a rigorousity in their implementation.
“Communates have made their human resources available in family medicine centres, and have also made them operational plans to vaccinate the population and therefore municipalities are prepared and only waiting for the arrival of vaccines”.
He said 85% of the positive cases with Covid-19 have been addressed at the local level, and only 15% have been sent to Pristina Central Hospital.
“Today the council of mayors met with incumbent Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, as well as incumbent Minister Armend Zemaj, and was discussed the current situation about anti-Convidian measures and the functioning of emergency municipal headquarters, as well as greater opportunities for monitoring implementation of anti-Condavid measures. In general, the situation is managed by the local level, and all mayors have expressed readiness that the measures, which have been envisioned, are respected as yet and also municipal health directors are fully engaged, and that is why about 85% are treated at the local level and only 15% have been sent to Pristina Central Hospital”.
The “is generally found to need more rigorous monitoring in respect to anti-Condavid measures, and it was a joint conclusion that we should not have a tightening of the measures, but only a regosis on the implementation of current anti-Convidus measures. The situation is manageable by local level, municipal headquarters are well organised, and the mayors have direct communication with citizens on a daily basis and are implementing anti-Covid” measures, Ibrahim told EO.
Ibrahimi said that compared to last year's number of infections, the percentage is not greater than 18%.
We've always discussed the central level with regard to anti-Covid measures, and today's meeting was on the continuation of co-ordination of activities in terms of anti-Covid” measures.
If we take and compare the percentage of today's and last summer infected, then it turns out that the percentage is not greater than 18%, whereas we had in last summer over 50%, and that's why it is estimated that the actual measures have yielded a score of”.
