Kosovo's Special Prosecutor has announced that the detainee is M.A. of the Albanian Nationality with Serbia's citizenship.

“Special Procuror of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK) announces the opinion that a (1) person with M.A. initials has been detained, for criminal work war crimes against the civilian population, in violation of Article 142 of the former RSFJ Penal Code as a law in effect at the time of carrying out criminal work, as well as punishable with KPRK's Article 146. Special Prosecutor announces that M.A. Albanian national, citizen of the Republic of Serbia, allegedly participated in the Izbica massacre during the war in Kosovo. The same within the legal deadlines will be presented to Prosecution Court”, the prosecution's communiqué said.
We remember that on March 28th 1999, Serbian police and military forces, following the siege of thousands of civilians from the surrounding village of Izbica and settlements, singled out 147 young men and old men who were killed and massacred, while the rest expelled from Kosovo.
Izbica's massacre enters the line of the worst crimes in the state of Serbia, where mass murder, the desecration of troops and their burial, through satellite images, became world news.
